Game and Nature Reserves

The horticultural Garden Separated in 1841 from the « Parc de la Patte d’Oie » (the Crow’s Foot Park) when the future Boulevard Roederer was built, this garden has successively been a teaching garden for the Horticultural Society and a zoo in the 1950s. The Reims-born landscape gardener Edouard Redont created the waterfall and the pond in 1895 and Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier made the rose garden in 1924. The garden was redesigned in 1982 in two parts : a formal garden and a landscaped garden. It houses is a Neoclassical pavilion, the seat of the Horticultural Society.

The Reims Mountain Regional Nature Park 300 km of waymarked hiking trails and many cycling and horse-riding trails will take you through the Reims Mountain Regional Nature Park and will allow you to discover its natural and cultural heritage. It is a docile mountain that is fun to climb: from the Mont Aigu (196 meters) or from the beautiful church of Mutigny, any walker will have a magnificent circular view of the plain of the Champagne region, where vines wave. The Park collects many treasures: the wild orchids of the Champagne region and the “Faux de Verzy” are proofs. These twisted beech trees with knotted deformed trunks remain a mystery for scientists and an endless source of amazement for strollers.

The Park of Champagne: Created in 1909 thanks to the marquis de Polignac, a descendant of the celebrated Louise Pommery, 22 ha and many species of trees among them oaks, beeches, chestnut trees, many events take place in the park : exhibitions, concerts. This is a beautiful park, on the edge of town, near the Pommery vineyards.
